With enema procedures, liquids are introduced into the rectum and lower colon. The lower bowel is an extremely vascular area and enemas are absorbed from the fluid within minutes through the haemorrhoidal veins. This allows the herbs to be transported across the colon wall into the blood stream quickly, to have their desired effect within the body. The liquids are concocted for therapeutic effects for specific conditions and to have specific health outcomes. We use enemas as treatments in our programs for detoxification, specific medical conditions and in the Gerson Therapy protocol.
Coffee enemas are used to detoxify the liver, stimulate the gall bladder and liver to remove toxins. Coffee enemas are capable of removing circulating toxins and partial metabolites because it stimulates an enzyme system in the liver called glutathione-s-transferase. It removes electrophiles (free radicals) by stepping up this system by 700%.
The coffee enema is capable of removing circulating toxins and partial metabolites because it stimulates an enzyme system in the liver called glutathione-s-transferase. It removes electrophiles (free radicals) by stepping up this system by 700%. No other materials other than coffee are known to do this. The blood passes through the liver every three minutes so when the coffee is held for 15 min, it gets five passes through the liver.
In addition, the theobromine, theophylline, and the caffeine in the coffee all have physiological effects. They dilate the blood vessels and bile ducts, relax the smooth muscles and increase the flow of bile. Furthermore, the quart of water in the gut stimulates the visceral nervous system which stimulates peristalsis. Net effect = the flushing of toxic bile.
A coffee enema, or detox enema, is taken several times a day (cancer patients) or once a day for detox protocols to stimulate bile flow and increase liver detoxification. The coffee enema is the greatest aid in elimination of the liver’s toxic wastes.
The coffee enema, besides stimulating liver detoxification, also has beneficial effects in cleaning the colon. Coffee is an excellent solvent for encrusted waste accumulated along the walls of the colon. The caffeine also directly stimulates the peristaltic muscle to contract more powerfully and loosen such deposits, which are occasionally visible as hard, black material and “ropes” of mucus. Gradually, as the protein metabolism of the body improves, the muscle tone of the bowel becomes normal and thorough evacuation is possible without the aid of the enema.
Essentially, the coffee enemas help the liver perform a task for which it was not designed that of eliminating in 1 or 2 years the accumulated wastes from many years of living in ignorance of the laws of nature.
At first, some people dislike enemas and have psychological barriers against using them. Ignorance of the purpose and function of the enema, as well as misunderstanding of the proper procedure for taking it bring about this aversion. I have observed, however, that the persons most opposed to enemas soon reverse their prejudices and become the most avid supporters of them! In many cases, the enema relieves distress and gives a sense of well-being and cleanliness never before experienced.
The proper removal of toxins and debris from the colon is absolutely essential in all conditions of disease and ill health. It also helps to relieve pain and in most cases it induces sleep. Enemas using coffee in the afternoon or evening may interfere with sound sleep.
It is most desirable to take the coffee enema early in the morning and it may be repeated again throughout the day and in early afternoon and/or evening, depending upon the toxic condition of the body.
Coffee enemas are useful in reducing pain.
Excretion of Toxins from Dying Tumors
The liver must be able to detoxify tumor breakdown products
Therapeutic Blend Coffee for Enema Use
S.a. Wilson’s Therapy Blend of coffee (Gold Roast Coffee) was the first coffee to be specifically selected, blended and roasted for therapeutic use. It is still today the only coffee we use and recommend for enema use. The coffee is hand picked from selected organic coffee growers and specifically blended and processed with higher levels of caffeine and palmitic acid in mind. The therapy blend is also only roasted to golden to avoid aromatic compounds forming that is thought to be carcinogenic.
Burdock Root Enemas
Burdock root is an excellent herb for purifying the blood and correcting skin problems. Traditionally burdock root has been used to treat psoriasis. Burdock root is rich and potassium salts. A burdock enema aids in the elimination of calcium deposits and is beneficial for improving the functions of the kidneys and bladder.
Castor Oil Enemas
Castor oil enemas are very powerful detoxification treatments. (Not to be done by patients who has received chemotherapy).
A chamomile enema has a calming and relaxing effect on the body as well as on the digestive system. Chamomile enemas soothe an irritated intestinal tract and can reduce intestinal cramps or spasms caused by gas or inflammation. Chamomile enemas or implants during a colon hydrotherapy treatment can be helpful to ease anxiety. For patients who suffer with sleeping difficulties, a chamomile enema before bed time can be helpful. Chamomile enemas can ease the discomfort of hemorrhoids and also relieve nausea. Chamomile enemas are often used when a healing crisis occurs in a patient.
Herbal Anti-Parasite Enema
We prepare a special herbal concoction for treating parasites. This herbal enema consists of oregano, wormwood, cloves and garlic. These are h2 anti-biotic, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic herbs. Garlic enemas have been used traditionally to eliminate intestinal worms and other parasites. In addition garlic enemas are used to reduce candida levels in the colon. A garlic enema can be used to treat harmful bacteria in the colon that causes diarrhea and an irritated bowel. Garlic also helps to remove mucous and toxins from the colon.
A water enema is the most gentle enema. It cleanses the rectum and sigmoid colon. It also rehydrates the colon and the body. A water enema can be very useful in quickly hydrating a dehydrated patient. It is important to use purified water and not city or county water from the tap. Water enemas are prescribed in our therapeutic water fasting programs. Weaker, fasting patients can easily tolerate the water enema which in turn contributes to the detoxification and rejuvenation process they are undergoing.
